On March 26, 2027 at La Machine du Moulin Rouge, Kalandra comes to Paris to unfold its universe between alternative rock and atmospheric folk, with that Nordic touch and cinematic textures that mark its singularity. Led by the clear voice of Katrine Stenbekk, the band plays with contrasts: electric and acoustic guitars, rock pulsations, ambient soundscapes, stripped-down passages then rising tension. From Borders to The Line and A Frame of Mind, their writing favors misty atmospheres and open choruses, somewhere between contemplative rock, neofolk, and film music.
Opening act Finnegan Tui creates a different mood, more intimate. Based in London, the New Zealander blends acoustic folk and discreet electronics, slow tempo, minimalist arrangements and layered choirs. His songs, nourished by landscape and nature, advance through silences and steps, culminating in controlled surges in the spirit of Zephyr. A perfect prelude to Kalandra's dense sound.
