Haken land in Manchester on Thursday 4 February 2027 at Manchester Academy for a night built on their trademark progressive rock/metal crossover. Since forming in London in 2007, the band have made a name for themselves with long-form songs that shift tempos and time signatures without losing the thread: melodic vocals up front, tightly locked riffs, and a strong keyboard presence shaping the atmosphere as much as the heaviness.
On stage, their catalogue moves easily between narrative-driven early records like Aquarius and Visions and the sharper, more streamlined punch they honed on The Mountain, before diving into later chapters such as Affinity, Vector/Virus and Fauna. Expect intricate rhythm work, sudden left turns, and those moments where technical detail gives way to big hooks and spacious, cinematic sections. Support comes from Ihlo and Black Orchid Empire.
