Van Morrison returns to the stage on November 2, 2026 at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, with a blend that is uniquely his: soul, blues, folk, jazz and Celtic heritage, carried by a voice capable of moving from a whisper to the most liberating release. Born in Belfast, he began as the frontman of Them in the heart of the sixties’ rhythm and blues (with the classic Gloria), before quickly carving out a solo path with Brown Eyed Girl, then opening another chapter, more inward, with Astral Weeks and Moondance. Since then, his journey has moved forward without straight lines: compact songs, long nearly improvised pieces, gospel inflections, R&B, and this way of turning a motif until it becomes hypnotic. On stage, his repertoire spans eras, from the peaks of the seventies to more recent records, and keeps this fondness for groove, breaths and real-time interpretation, as if each title could be rewritten the moment it is sung.
