Julien Clerc returns to the stage on April 23, 2027, at Théâtre Galli in Sanary-sur-Mer, with what has defined him since the late 1960s: a voice instantly recognizable, a piano at the heart of the songs, and a very simple way of telling love, the passing of time, and the impulses of life. Revealed in 1968 with La Cavalerie, he forged a repertoire that has become familiar, from Ce n’est rien to Si on chantait, including Ma préférence. Between variety and pop, Julien Clerc has always moved at the crossroads of romanticism and discreet modernity, sustained by collaborations with great authors. On stage, he alternates the grandeur of orchestration with more intimate moments, with clear diction and restrained emotion, without overdoing it. An evening designed to rediscover songs that have accompanied several generations, and to hear them come alive, simply, in the present.
