Born in Canada and based in France, she has built a pop universe that is at once elegant and charged with dramatic tension, carried by a voice with an instantly recognizable timbre. Between catchy refrains and a highly inhabited performance, she likes to tell intimate stories, to explore flaws, ruptures, and identities that seek themselves.
Revealed with her first album Traîtrise (2022), which notably includes Tu t’en iras and Sans moi, La Zarra moves forward with straightforward writing and a stage presence that relies as much on attention to detail as on emotion. After her Eurovision appearance in 2023 with Évidemment, she continues to deepen this blend of flamboyance and vulnerability, somewhere between modern pop and great interpreters.
