Info
Evergrey lands at The Underworld, London on 27 November 2026 with the weight and nuance that have defined their Gothenburg-rooted progressive dark metal since the late 90s. Led by singer-guitarist Tom S. Englund, the band arrives behind their fifteenth album, Architects Of A New Weave, released on June 5, 2026 via Napalm Records. Co-produced by Englund and keyboardist-composer Vikram Shankar and mixed by Adam “Nolly” Getgood, the record sharpens their balance of cutting riffs, widescreen keys and candid, melodic vocals.
On stage, expect a set anchored in the new material—The World Is On Fire, Leaving The Emptiness, Heaven, The Prophecy and the title track—tied to staples from Theories of Emptiness and earlier releases. The studio duet with Mikael Stanne on A Burning Flame informs the set’s vocal interplay, even when delivered solo. Themes of loss, resolve and reinvention traverse the show, carried by tight grooves, dynamic shifts and choruses built to lift without glossing over the shade. After months on the road as special guests to Iron Maiden, Evergrey arrive road-tested and focused, ready to turn the album’s cinematic drive into a close-quarters narrative, where precision and emotion keep the tension alive from first note to last.
