Gaël Faye

Gaël Faye returns to the stage on November 25, 2027, at the Zénith du Grand Nancy in Maxéville. A rapper and writer, he moves between rap, song and poetry, with precise writing that evokes the intimate, inheritance and the memory of exile. His tracks, often carried by a delivery close to spoken word, blend urban rhythms with clear melodies, creating narratives that unfold like fragments of life. He first came to prominence as a solo artist with Pili Pili sur un croissant au beurre, and went on to release Rythmes & Botanique and Lundi Méchant, the latter reaching platinum status. On the literary side, Petit Pays, awarded the Prix Goncourt des lycéens, and Jacaranda, winner of the Prix Renaudot 2024, inform his approach to storytelling and his way of depicting the world. On stage, Faye performs with a band, between acoustic instruments and hip‑hop textures, and establishes a constant dialogue with the audience. His set is conceived as a journey, where confessional moments meet the desire to move, without losing the thread of the words. At the Zénith, he will unfold this repertoire of rap, poetry and song, letting the pen and the groove speak.
