Gaël Faye

Gaël Faye returns to the stage with a concert where rap, chanson and poetry intertwine. On December 10, 2027, at the Accor Arena in Paris, the author and rapper presents finely crafted writing—shaped by the heritage and memory of exile—and a delivery that flirts with spoken word. From the duo Milk Coffee & Sugar to his solo projects, he has built a repertoire that is both narrative and melodic, blending African rhythms, hip‑hop textures and moments of chanson. You can hear echoes of Petit pays, of his Lundi méchant chronicles and, more recently, of Jacaranda, all of which extend his taste for storytelling.

On stage, he surrounds himself with a band where acoustic instruments and machines answer one another, allowing the pieces to breathe and to shift from whisper to chorus, from tale to danceable instant. The live show is conceived as a space for sharing, where the intimate meets the festive and where each song can open up, transform and let improvisation surface. It’s an invitation to travel between confidences, rhythmic pulses and images, carried by a stage presence that is as attentive to the text as it is to the groove.
