Gilbert Montagné

An icon of French song, singer and pianist Gilbert Montagné returns to the stage on May 1, 2027 at Dani Lary’s Ateliers Magiques in Barbières. He arrives with L’Amour dans ses mains, a new album that extends his taste for groove, between immediate pop and more melancholic ballads. True to his keyboard style, he blends new songs and standards, carried by simple melodies and hooks that stay in the mind.

On the program are his signature tracks that have marked several generations: The Fool, On va s’aimer, Les Sunlights des Tropiques, Liberté, Le blues de toi, Musicienne… Reworked with a pronounced rhythm and a contemporary sound, these pieces converse with his recent compositions to draw a line between his beginnings and his current desires. Between pop, disco and touches of soul, Montagné prioritizes collective momentum and direct contact with the audience, with the piano at the center. A concert designed to present his repertoire in a new light, without losing what defines his signature.
