Wage War and Invent Animate take over O2 Ritz Manchester on 17 January 2027 for a night rooted in modern metalcore, between precision, weight and atmosphere.
From Ocala, Florida, Wage War have honed a five-piece formula that balances abrasive screams and clean vocals, dense guitars and melodic refrains. Across Blueprints, Deadweight, Pressure, Manic and Stigma, the band have shifted from breakdown-focused urgency toward more open songwriting without losing their heavy backbone. Live, it’s tight riffing, syncopated grooves and clear vocal contrasts, with arrangements that breathe between impact and release.
Invent Animate, from Port Neches, Texas, bring a progressive slant: technical structures, djent-inflected rhythms, ambient textures and sharp dynamic turns. With Marcus Vik on vocals since 2019 alongside Trey Celaya and Caleb Sherraden, their path runs from Everchanger and Stillworld to Greyview and Heavener, where detailed guitar lines meet a patient sense of space and introspective themes.
Wind Walkers round out the bill. A focused lineup, built on contrasts and forward motion.
