Gurriers

Gurriers land at Project House in Leeds on 17 October 2026. Formed in Dublin in the early 2020s, the quintet carve out a tense post-punk sound where art-punk angles and noise-rock abrasion meet tight, propulsive rhythms. On stage they fire off lean, wired tracks built on serrated guitars and a vocal delivery that flips between confrontation, urgency and a cooler distance. Their lyrics stare down the present moment — normalized violence, social fractures, political contradictions — with concise, acidic turns that cut straight through.

Their debut album, Come and See (2024), anchors the set alongside the early singles that circulated across the Irish and UK indie scenes. The show moves between punk urgency and locked-in grooves, with a few detours that push the edges without drifting into retro poses. Gurriers compress city noise and unease into short, jolting bursts, then stretch the pressure just enough to let the rhythm breathe. In Leeds, they bring that focused friction to Project House, turning their raw textures and clipped hooks into something immediate and physical.
