The Orb and Ozric Tentacles share the stage at O2 Academy Bristol on 27 November 2026, bringing expansive electronics and psychedelic instrumentals under one roof.
The Orb, steered by Alex Paterson since the late 80s, helped define ambient house with wide-screen textures, unhurried rhythms and dub-inflected basslines. Live, the project treats its catalogue as raw material: samples, loops and delays fold into long-form pieces that drift, swell and settle into hypnotic grooves, with visuals and on-the-fly processing shaping the flow.
Born out of the Somerset free-festival scene, Ozric Tentacles fuse space rock, prog, dub and world-tinged motifs into spiralling guitar figures, vivid synths and agile, sometimes intricate beats. Guided by guitarist-composer Ed Wynne, their sets move from cosmic calm to forward momentum, threading melodies through elastic grooves and electronic textures built for deep listening.
