On 15 May 2026 at O2 City Hall Newcastle, James Morrison brings a set shaped by the grain of his voice and songs that sit between British soul, pop rock and acoustic folk. Since Undiscovered (2006) and Songs for You, Truths for Me (2008), he’s built a catalogue of ballads and steady mid-tempos carried by guitar, piano and clean, melodic writing. The show draws from The Awakening, Higher Than Here and You’re Stronger Than You Know, with arrangements that leave space for his husky tone and a few R&B shades.
From early days on open mics to collaborations with Nelly Furtado, Jason Mraz, Jessie J and Joss Stone, Morrison has kept a direct way of writing that works live. Expect familiar singles alongside newer material, moments stripped back to voice and keys, and band passages with a warmer groove.
