Biohazard bring their New York crossover to The 1865, Southampton, on 5 August 2026. Formed in Brooklyn in the late 80s, the band forged a blend of hardcore punk, thrash metal and hip-hop accents that anchored them in the NYHC lineage while opening onto the metal world. Their self-titled debut (1990) set the tone, followed by Urban Discipline (1992), where heavy, chiseled riffs, punchy rhythms and the alternation between shouted parts and rap-leaning flows took shape. State of the World Address (1994) and Mata Leão (1996) pushed that balance further, with the Judgment Night collaboration alongside Onyx sealing the bridge with rap’s harder edge.
Through New World Disorder, Uncivilization, Kill or Be Killed, Means to an End and Reborn in Defiance, Biohazard have kept a direct, physical writing style: grooves that hit, gang vocals that bite, and breaks calibrated for the pit without losing a taste for melody in the riff. On stage, this translates into tight interplay and a straight-ahead delivery that favors impact over ornament. In Southampton, the show revisits the band’s core: hybrid hardcore, metallic heft and that street-level cadence that marked their rise from NYC clubs to international tours.
