Info
On 29 May 2026, at L’Escale (Saint-Genis-les-Ollières), Orange Blossom sidesteps labels. Conceived by Mexican composer Carlos Robles Arenas, the group weaves a sound in which electronic music intersects with Turkish, Egyptian, Malian, Senegalese and Cuban traditions. Voices in Arabic, Persian and Portuguese, dance-ready pulses and more meditative passages: their fourth album lines up thirteen tracks that move between trance and calm, with a distinct sense of sonic travel all their own.
Alma Rechtman writes stripped-down songs between soul, jazz and folk. Her husky voice, sometimes on the verge of breaking, carries lyrics about love, abandonment, solitude and a quiet rage. She works with silence, lets phrases breathe, and her pieces unfold like confidences, with a restrained intensity that settles naturally.
Claire Ness comes from Whitehorse, Yukon. A singer-songwriter and performer, she blends folk, country, blues and jazz with a strong taste for storytelling. Trained in comedic writing at Humber College in Toronto and in circus pedagogy at the National Circus School in Montreal, she is also the founding artistic director of the Yukon Circus Society. Recognized in Canada for a children’s album, she moves fluidly between stage, song and theatre.
