Ghinzu

Ghinzu makes their return to the stage on Thursday, October 22, 2026 at La Carrière in Nantes. Seventeen years after Mirror Mirror, the Brussels band presents W.O.W.A, a new album due on May 29, 2026 via PIAS. Born at the dawn of the 2000s around John Stargasm (vocals, keyboards) alongside Mika Hasson (bass), Greg Remy (guitar), Jean Waterlot (guitar, keyboards) and Antoine Michel (drums), Ghinzu has forged a distinctive sound between alternative rock and indie, where abrasive guitars and piano hold the line, threaded with electronic touches. Their songwriting plays on contrasts, with dynamic shifts and long structures that build an almost cinematic tension. Electronic Jacuzzi laid the groundwork in 2000, Blow broadened their scope in 2004 with more expansive arrangements, and Mirror Mirror deepened those dark, orchestrated atmospheres in 2009. This Nantes date is part of a new tour that highlights this precise, hybrid aesthetic again, mixing new material with the songs that made the band known, driven by a solid rhythm section and keyboards at the forefront.
