On April 21, 2026, at Urban Spree in Berlin, Boko Yout will bring their Afro-grunge concept to the stage. Led by Paul Adamah, the Swedish band fuses a punk-funky pulse, raw alt‑rock energy and off‑kilter experimentation into a sound that oscillates between eruption and trance. Live, the group relies on intense physical commitment, striking gestures and a dense stage setting—more a performative set than a conventional concert—and has earned a reputation for powerful, immersive shows.

Their debut album GUSTO (2025, Hoopdiggas Recordings) frames the songs as therapy sessions with the fictional Dr. Gusto. From this emerges a narrative thread about self‑questioning, ego, identity, fear and artistic autonomy. On stage these motifs condense into repetitive tension patterns, abrupt dynamic shifts and a commanding vocal presence that speaks to freedom, creativity and deliberate action.
