Info
After nearly a decade away from Toulouse, Gnawa Diffusion returns to Interference on April 16, 2026 at 6:00 PM, alongside Tiwiza and their Amazigh rock. A politically charged groove, raw energy and a sense of communion with the audience will be on the bill.
Gnawa Diffusion
Gnawa Diffusion, a group from the North African scene, has been touring the world energetically since the 1990s. As a driving force of dissenting expression, the band delivers engaged and poetic lyrics, where political consciousness mingles with artistic fervor. A fusion of genres and cultures, gnawa, reggae and rock rhythms converse with Amazigh, chaâbi and raï sonorities to shape a singular, militant and celebratory music. Around Amazigh Kateb, musicians from diverse backgrounds create intense moments on stage, affirming their place on the international scene.
Tiwiza
Tiwiza claims a fusion of Amazigh sounds and rock. Clear references run through their compositions, both in their committed lyrics and in a direct, no-nonsense musical approach. The band offers a journey from the desert to the grooves of African-American music, delivered with rock energy. Led by Sofiane Aït Belaïd and accompanied by three musicians with complementary artistic universes, Tiwiza is a Toulouse-based formation. The band projects energy and a spirit of sharing. Their uncompromising, assertive sound blends North African influences with rock.
