Argentine band Kumbia Queers arrives in Madrid with their blend of cumbia, punk and a festive attitude. On September 9 they will perform at Sala Villanos with a dance-filled, high-energy show.
Formed in Buenos Aires in 2007, Kumbia Queers have explored cumbia from a queer perspective, fusing cumbia villera with punk guitars and a DIY spirit. Their style, which the band themselves describe as "tropipunk," mixes Afro-Caribbean and Latin American influences with the power of rock, creating a distinctive sound.
With more than 15 years of history and tours across the Americas, Europe and the United States, the band offers concerts that combine original songs, covers and tracks from their latest releases, with room for dancing.
