Pi Ja Ma

Pi Ja Ma, also known as Pauline de Tarragon, performs on 28 November 2026 at the Marché Gare in Lyon. Straddling pop song and indie, she cultivates a natural back-and-forth between French and English, with clear melodies, moderate tempos and particular attention to vocal harmonies. Her lyrics, precise and understated, view everyday life askance, let the words breathe and lend the live show a subtle, nuanced depth.

On stage, Pi Ja Ma performs as a duo with musician and producer Axel Concato. Together they carve out a playground between bedroom pop, dream pop and French chanson, alternating spare numbers and more rhythmic tracks, without excess, with light arrangements that keep the voice at the centre. Their rapport, honed since the start and notably crystallized on the album Nice To Meet U, shapes a set conceived as a continuous thread rather than a series of distinct songs.

The visual universe is never far away. Pauline, also an illustrator and ceramist, creates images and stage designs that accompany the music without overwhelming it. The result is an approach where sound and image answer one another, for an intimate, crisp and sensitive pop, ideally suited to the Marché Gare room.
