Jenny Hval

Norwegian musician, writer and artist Jenny Hval brings Iris Silver Mist, her new album named after the Serge Lutens fragrance. The project grew out of a pause: when live music disappeared, she turned to perfume as a way to sense presence. Collecting, reading, writing, she stepped away from sound until music returned, now infused with notes of flower and smoke, ghostly yet alive.

On stage, Hval threads these pieces as a continuous flow, a mixtape-like set where one song seeps into the next. First shaped inside her interdisciplinary work I want to be a Machine, the material keeps its fluid architecture: long, shapeshifting forms where voice and spoken word move through electronics, and field recordings blur the boundary between the room and the outside world. Known for weaving art-pop with experimental textures, she focuses here on transitions, mood and touch — how sound settles on or under the skin and quietly changes us.
