Tropical Fuck Storm

Tropical Fuck Storm returns to La Marbrerie on 16 June 2026 in Montreuil. Formed in Melbourne around Gareth Liddiard and Fiona Kitschin, and completed by Erica Dunn and Lauren Hammel, the quartet shifts art-rock toward a post-punk, psychedelic-noise terrain. Onstage, Liddiard and Dunn’s guitars intertwine in dissonant riffs, cutting feedback and light-and-dark melodies, while Kitschin’s bass lays down heavy grooves and Hammel’s drumming supplies breaks and off‑beat accents. Half‑spoken, half‑sung vocals, warped blues, dub echoes and bursts of pop make up a taut, shifting set threaded with paranoid narratives and twilight imagery.

The band draws from A Laughing Death in Meatspace, Braindrops and Deep States, remaking songs into abrasive, hypnotic sequences. Fragmented structures, grating textures, stretched silences and sudden snap‑backs: Tropical Fuck Storm treats sound like an electric collage—unadorned and relentlessly tense.
