Bernard Lavilliers

Bernard Lavilliers will be stopping in Narbonne on 26 March 2027, at the Narbonne Arena. A singer-songwriter shaped by travel, he has built a repertoire where chanson intersects with rock, reggae and Brazilian and Caribbean rhythms, with touches of jazz. His lyrics, fed by wandering, ports and social realities, paint urban and maritime landscapes that have marked several generations of listeners.

On stage, Lavilliers traces a long musical trajectory, from the songs that established his deep voice in the 1970s and 80s to his later explorations. One finds the spirit of albums such as O gringo and État d’urgence, extended by the travelogue-style albums Carnets de bord and the subtle shades of Clair-obscur. Surrounded by musicians attuned to the bridges between styles, he favors open arrangements in which guitars, brass and percussion support narrative, rhythm-driven songwriting.
