Chasing Abbey

Chasing Abbey hit the Rickshaw Theatre in Vancouver on February 28, 2026. Formed in Tullamore, Ireland by three childhood friends, the trio blends hip-hop, pop and club-driven electronics into concise, hook-forward tracks. They broke through in the mid-2010s with self-produced singles and steady Irish radio play, notably the 2017 track That Good Thing. Their first EP, The Odyssey Project (2018), set the tone for a style where melodic vocals trade places with rap flows over tight, percussive production.

Since the early 2020s, Chasing Abbey have folded traditional Irish motifs into their palette—see the rework Oh My Johnny (Banks of the Roses)—and steered the mix toward the dancefloor with contemporary club textures. On stage, they lean into call-and-response refrains, sharp rhythms and a back-and-forth delivery tuned for the room.
