Hiba Tawaji presents À la française at the Zénith de Caen on March 16, 2027. The Lebanese singer pays tribute to the heritage of the French chanson and has invited her husband, trumpeter and arranger Ibrahim Maalouf, for the occasion. Together they revisit a repertoire that speaks to all generations, offering reinterpretations conceived as a dialogue between voice and trumpet.
The selected songs take on new colors thanks to arrangements by Ibrahim Maalouf, situated somewhere between classical orchestra, jazz, pop and Eastern inflections. Hiba Tawaji’s supple, precise voice moves across styles without affectation and finds a natural echo in Maalouf’s playing.
