Dick Annegarn

On June 19, 2026, Dick Annegarn will set down his guitar at La Nouvelle Scène, 8 boulevard de l’Avenir in Nesle. A singer-songwriter born in The Hague and a francophone by choice, he has cultivated for half a century an earthy, grounded songcraft attentive to nature and simple gestures. Settled on a farm at the foot of the Pyrenees, he has sown refrains that catch on and stay in the head: Sacré Géranium, Bébé éléphant, Mireille, Vélo va, L’Orage, Quelle belle vallée. Far beyond Brussels, his repertoire looks to the earth, the trees and the animals, rendered in clear and clever language.

On stage, his precise guitar playing is accompanied by a harmonica, light percussion and occasional a cappella passages. Annegarn even plays a green guitar made by luthier Thomas Fejoz. His poetry has been covered by -M-, Calogero, Raphaël, Nolwenn Leroy, Bashung, Souchon, Arno, Bénabar and Dany Boon, proof of a living, shared heritage.

The audience is invited to bring plants, shrubs or flowers to decorate the stage, and then to take their greenery home at the end of the concert—a simple way to lend a hand with the setup and to extend the spirit of the concert into the home.
