The Guess Who bring the Takin’ It Back Tour to Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on May 30, 2026. Formed in Winnipeg in the early 1960s, first as Chad Allan and the Reflections before settling on their name in 1965, the band forged a sound at the crossroads of pop-leaning rock and blues, later opening to psychedelic colors and harder edges. Built around original drummer Garry Peterson, today’s lineup revisits a catalog shaped by melodic guitars, stacked vocal harmonies and direct, concise writing. From Wheatfield Soul and Canned Wheat to American Woman and Share the Land, the set draws on ballads, heavier cuts and socially minded tracks that have marked different phases of the group’s history.
Also on the bill, Don Felder, American guitarist and songwriter who joined Eagles in 1974 after early steps with the psych outfit Flow and a run of Los Angeles sessions. He contributed to On the Border, One of These Nights, Hotel California and The Long Run, co-writing Hotel California and refining a style that blends ringing riffs, slide work and layered twin-guitar parts. Beyond the band, he has appeared on pop and rock sessions, signed the track Heavy Metal (Takin’ a Ride) for the 1981 animated film, and continued a solo path with Airborne, Road to Forever and American Rock ’n’ Roll.
