Big Sugar bring the Hemi-Vision 30th Anniversary Tour to The Pearl in Vancouver, BC on February 6, 2026. Led by guitarist and singer Gordie Johnson, the Toronto-born outfit has long fused heavy blues rock with reggae grooves and Detroit grit. Hemi-Vision, released in 1996, set that blend in stone and pushed tracks like Diggin’ A Hole, If I Had My Way and Gone for Good onto airwaves across the country.

On stage today, Johnson’s power trio with bassist Anders Drerup and drummer Root Valach leans into that cross‑pollination: throbbing bass lines, arena‑ready drums and signature guitar tones, plus vocal harmonies that nod to Jamaica, Motown and East Coast kitchen parties. The show takes the form of two sets: first, Hemi‑Vision performed front to back for the first time; then a second set of favorites and rarities pulled from a catalogue that runs from Five Hundred Pounds through Eternity Now. Roots, rock and reggae, played tight by a band that’s been refining the mix for three decades.
