HEALTH from Los Angeles knots noise rock, industrial grit and shadowy electronics into a raw, physical sound. The trio has moved from the fractured impact of its self-titled debut to the more direct punch of Death Magic and Vol. 4: Slaves of Fear without smoothing the edges. Their score for Max Payne 3 underlined a cinematic streak, and the DISCO series of remixes and collaborations pulls metal, electro and pop-noir into their orbit. On stage, serrated textures, sub-heavy beats and Jacob Duzsik’s spectral vocals set a dense, propulsive mood.
Carpenter Brut is the project of French producer Franck Hueso, a synthwave strain fused with metal and 80s horror imagery. The Trilogy EPs laid the blueprint; Leather Teeth sketched a glam-slasher origin story; Leather Terror pushed the concept into darker territory. Live, the project folds biting synths, chiseled rhythms and guitar weight into a sharp, cinematic set.
