I Muvrini

I Muvrini returns to the stage on November 4, 2026, at the Palais de la Musique et des Congrès in Strasbourg. For more than forty years, the Corsican group has been charting its course between polyphony, Mediterranean folk and acoustic pop. Singing in the Corsican language, they defend a living, open culture in which diversity is heard and shared. Their repertoire blends intimate songs and choral pieces, with a way of anchoring tradition in the present without freezing it.

With Avà e preferite, a 31-track best-of, I Muvrini revisit their essentials: a first disc focused on their own songs and a second devoted to duets. The album features collaborations with Sting, Véronique Sanson, Luz Casal, Tina Arena, Grand Corps Malade, MC Solaar, Thomas Dutronc, the Hebrew Polyphonies, the 500 Choristers, as well as Corsican middle-school students on two previously unreleased tracks. In concert, these pieces take on a broad, resonant presence, carried by fraternal voices, spare guitars and a pulse that places the lyrics front and center. In Strasbourg, that same simple, direct energy is present—a music that connects islands and continents without losing the thread of intimacy.
