Alice On The Roof

On April 2, 2026, Alice on the Roof will perform at the Splendid in Lille. A Belgian singer-songwriter, she established herself with a clear voice, sometimes threaded with a discreet melancholy, and a pop sound with Nordic hues. Her early singles made a mark on the Belgian scene before she moved toward more intimate songwriting, nourished by influences such as Sigur Rós, Lykke Li, Emilie Nicolas and Agnes Obel. Commissioned by the Belgian Chancellery, she composed "The Right Words," a piece in support of marriage equality.

At thirty, she changed course and switched to French with an album simply titled Alice, her first to be written entirely in her mother tongue. At the piano, she refines pared-back melodies, light electronic textures and lyrics rooted in everyday life. On stage, her distinctive timbre and penchant for calm spaces give the songs room to breathe, balancing restraint and momentum in a set that places the voice at the center.
