Ours, aka Charles Souchon, moves between French chanson and acoustic pop. With a flexible voice, clear melodies and precise songwriting, his tracks capture everyday moments, the guitar leaving room for the words. The son of Alain Souchon, he nonetheless follows his own path, favouring spare arrangements and choruses that settle in naturally. You’ll find intimate stories, a discreet sense of humour and a tenderness that surfaces, always close to the listener’s ear.
On stage, Ours opts for a stripped-back format and direct exchange with the audience. The pieces answer one another, alternating relaxed ballads and livelier tempos, sustained by a simple, direct presence. No flashiness—just a taste for the right sound and words that move you without effort.
