KK's Steel Mill presents Dream State plus Knife Bride & Newshapes UK Tour 2026
Dream State is a band from the southern part of Wales, in the United Kingdom, active in the British alternative rock and post-hardcore scene since the mid-2010s. The band develops a sound that blends heavy guitars, rhythmic sections, more atmospheric passages, and melodic vocal lines, with lyrics focused on themes of vulnerability, mental health, and personal reconstruction.
First noticed thanks to the self-produced EP Consequences in 2015, Dream State refined its artistic direction with Recovery in 2018, released by the independent label UNFD, which anchors it in a register between post-hardcore, alternative metal and modern rock. The album Primrose Path, released in 2019, continues this aesthetic by playing on contrasts between tension and calm and enables Dream State to perform on club and festival stages in the United Kingdom and Europe. After several lineup changes in the early 2020s, Dream State continues to explore writing that blends direct, upfront impact with more ethereal passages, while remaining associated with the contemporary UK rock and metal movement.
