A native of Baton Rouge, Jovin Webb draws his inspiration from the gospel of Southern Baptist churches and the blues, which he discovers through his own life journey. His career takes a turn in 2020 when he reaches the Top 10 on American Idol. His authenticity and powerful voice captivate the judges, notably Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan.
Raised by a single mother and himself a family man, Jovin embodies a story of perseverance and resilience. After his television appearance, he signs with Blind Pig Records and releases in October 2024 his first album, Drifter. Produced by Tom Hambridge, the album blends blues, soul and rock 'n' roll across twelve tracks inspired as much by Chicago blues as by Southern soul. Tracks such as Bottom of a Bottle showcase his husky and expressive voice. Drifter reflects a quest for redemption, fueled by the artist's personal experiences.
Before this recognition, Jovin forged a reputation on the stages of Baton Rouge and New Orleans. He continues his ascent with new projects and an international tour in the works. Jovin Webb will perform at L’Odéon in Tremblay-en-France on October 17, 2026 at 6:30 p.m.
