I nearly titled this show “The Pleasure.” And then I thought that the only pleasures one would consider in front of a title like that would be pleasures forbidden to anyone under 18. However, for financial reasons, I want those under 18 to be able to attend my show as well. So I named it “Delicious”: it’s a family show.
In an hour and twenty minutes, I will try to untangle the complexity of what provokes pleasure in human beings. Of course pleasure can come from a glass of Sancerre that you linger over along the banks of the Seine in spring. But it can also be provoked by the death of a being you don’t love. Of course an unexpected promotion within the company brings joy. But also the act of eating Camembert in Camembert, or knowing that you do not pronounce the “z” in Avoriaz (which allows you to feel superior to all those who do not know it). My objective is that this show provokes in you a certain pleasure, in a mise en abyme of eating Camembert in Camembert.
