Turnover returns to Paris to perform Down On Earth, their sixth album, on Saturday, March 13, 2027 at the Trabendo. Born in Virginia Beach, the band has moved around a lot since its pop-punk and emo beginnings, settling on a more ethereal signature, blending indie rock, dream pop and psychedelic undertones.
After Myself In The Way (2022) and a longer-than-usual pause, Austin Getz, Casey Getz, Danny Dempsey and Nick Rayfield began writing again by playing together, letting the songs take shape through in-studio improvisation sessions. With their longtime sound engineer Zac Montez producing, the aim was to recapture a live energy while preserving their taste for textures and detours.
In its lyrics, Down On Earth focuses on what sticks to the skin: love, loss, the questions that keep circling. An album that embraces the legacy of Magnolia, Peripheral Vision, Good Nature and Altogether, without trying to be confined to a single genre, and which Turnover will bring to life on stage in Paris.
