Gabriel Auguste is an artist, songwriter and producer whose career sits at the crossroads of the international indie scene and a craftsmanlike approach to music. A singular universe, straddling folk, experimental pop and organic electronic. For Gabriel Auguste, production is never mere embellishment: it is an integral part of the narrative and of the emotion; it is all of a piece. In a style he has himself dubbed 'folk robot', he explores immersive soundscapes where machines dialogue with acoustic instruments, in a search for balance between warmth and depth. Conceived as much as a mental space as a collection of songs, his album is set to be cinematic and pop, extending his taste for atmospheres and open forms.
