Michel Jonasz and Jean-Yves D’Angelo are back on the road with Piano-Voix, fifteen years after this format became a classic. The principle remains the same: simple and direct — Jonasz’s warm voice and storytelling sensibility set against D’Angelo’s precise and inventive piano playing. As a duo, they bring new texture to the repertoire, blending swing, blues and French chanson, while leaving room for silences, breaths, and live improvisation.
On stage, the best-known titles meet new readings that are leaner, sometimes freer, always focused on interpretation. Jonasz moves between groove and intimacy, tells stories, nuances, and threads an emotion through a turn of phrase. D’Angelo, for his part, frames the scene, drives the performance forward, engages in dialogue, and makes the songs move from within.
