Info
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah lands in Toronto on May 11, 2027 at The Great Hall, bringing back the twitchy, hooky indie rock that first put them on the map in the mid-2000s. Built around nervy guitars, angular keyboards and Alec Ounsworth’s unmistakable voice, their songs move on that thin line between melodic rush and abrasive edges, with choruses that hit at odd angles and rhythms that keep you slightly off balance.
From the self-made breakthrough of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah to later chapters like Some Loud Thunder, Hysterical, Only Run, The Tourist and New Fragility, the project has kept evolving without losing its tense, off-kilter pulse. These days it’s very much Ounsworth at the center, backed by touring musicians who keep the catalogue sharp and alive onstage. Expect a set that jumps across eras, where ragged energy and carefully crafted songwriting meet in the same breath.
