Info
Paula Cole graces the RUST stage in Nørrebro on March 7, 2027, with a concert that spans her entire long career—from the 1990s breakthrough to her most recent releases. She broke through with a personal singer-songwriter sound, where pop, rock and folk meet in a vocal that can be both intimate and almost raw, and since then she has refined and expanded her expression with clear jazz elements and freedom in her phrasing. You can expect songs from the period around This Fire, which put her on the world map, but also traces from her later records, where she has moved between more socially conscious lyrics, intimate ballads and a look at American musical traditions. Live, it is about contrasts: acoustic immediacy versus rich arrangements, and a songwriter who dares to let the songs evolve on stage.
