Info
On March 15, 2027 in Calgary, at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium, Tommy Emmanuel, CGP brings his one-man acoustic show back to the stage, built around a fingerstyle approach where bass lines, chords, melody and percussive hits all happen at once. Coming from a background that runs through country, jazz, pop, rock, blues and bluegrass, he treats the guitar like a full band, switching from tight grooves to lyrical passages without breaking the flow. The “CGP” tag, given to him by Chet Atkins, says a lot about the lineage, but live it’s mostly about the feeling: a direct, physical way of playing that turns technique into storytelling.
Very special guest Molly Tuttle opens the night with her mix of bluegrass and Americana, powered by sharp flatpicking and a songwriter’s sense of narrative. Based in Nashville and known for work with her band Golden Highway, she moves easily between traditional drive and more modern folk-country colors, setting up a show that leans hard into acoustic energy.
