This year Jan Akkerman will turn 80, after which he will tour the country throughout 2027 with this anniversary show. Jan Akkerman is among the best-known guitarists to have emerged from the Netherlands. With his blend of rock, blues, jazz and prog and a career that has taken him around the world, he has built a broad résumé.
Together with his band and vocalist Phil Bee, Akkerman, at Q-Factory in Amsterdam on February 19, 2027, will present a musical overview of a career spanning more than six decades. The setlist traces highlights from his body of work: from The Hunters and Brainbox to the international successes with Focus and material from his most recent studio album Close Beauty. A special guest during this tour is also his daughter and singer Laurie Akkerman.
