Info
On 14 November 2026, Robert Glasper brings his shape-shifting jazz to Blue Note London, with a set that tends to blur the line between concert and late-night session. Coming from the New York scene but rooted in Houston’s church and local circuits, the pianist and producer has built a sound where post-bop chops sit naturally next to hip-hop swing, R&B warmth and soul-driven melodies.
Onstage, expect that Glasper balance: tight, song-like themes that leave plenty of room for improvisation, grooves that lock in fast, and sudden left turns into electric colors and vocal-inflected textures. It’s the spirit behind his early trio records and the later Robert Glasper Experiment era, where keyboards, beat culture and band interplay take the lead. The show also carries the DNA of his deep collaborations across rap and neo-soul, making every performance feel open-ended, rhythmic, and firmly of the moment.
