Info
On November 22, 2026, at Blue Note London, Robert Glasper brings his way of making jazz breathe with the present: a sound where post-bop chops meet hip-hop swing, R&B warmth and soul instincts, always anchored by a pianist’s touch and a producer’s sense of groove. Coming out of Houston and sharpened on the New York scene, he’s built a language that moves fast between tight song-like shapes and open improvisation, with rhythms that stay front and center.
Known first for his trio work in the 2000s, Glasper later widened the frame with the Robert Glasper Experiment, leaning into electric textures and vocals without dropping the jazz core. Expect a set that can pivot from deep-pocket keyboard lines to freer moments, with that signature balance between clarity and risk—music that nods to the club and the bandstand in the same breath.
