Info
On February 9, 2027, HENGE lands at Knust in Hamburg and brings its strangely beautiful sci-fi universe live to the stage. The British quartet from Manchester blends psychedelic rock, space rock, electronic and avant-pop into what they themselves call 'cosmic dross': synthesizer lines that latch on, a very prominent bass, a driving beat, and guitars with biting edges. The result constantly shifts between song, repetitive trance and experimental drift — sometimes driving, sometimes hovering as if in orbit, but always with a clear edge.
Since the EP Cosmic Dross (2017) and the album Attention Earth! (2018), HENGE has expanded its repertoire through ExoKosm (2020), Alpha Test 4 (2023) to Journey to Voltus B (2025). Live, it is not a best-of, but its own dramaturgy, in which the characters Zpor, Goo, Sol and Nom perform the set as a continuous narrative: music as mission, groove as propulsion, and ample room for drift when the tracks expand.
