Info
Hamilton Leithauser and Rostam bring their joint project back onstage in Toronto, at The Concert Hall, on November 14, 2026. When I Had a Dream That You Were Mine first landed, they were already familiar faces from two key bands of their generation: Leithauser fronting The Walkmen with that instantly recognizable, wired voice, and Rostam shaping the sound of Vampire Weekend as a songwriter and producer. What started as a friendship-driven side step quickly turned into a tight creative partnership, built on Rostam’s careful, wide-screen production and Leithauser’s vocal range that can swing from grit to pure melody.
Expect songs that don’t sit in one lane: doo-wop touches, country-rock momentum, baroque pop details, folk leanings, and torch-song drama, all stitched together with pop craft and restless arrangements. These shows are rare by nature, and that scarcity is part of the pull: a chance to hear a one-off collaboration that feels like its own world, performed live and up close.
