Info
On October 19, 2026, at Fox & Firkin in London, this double bill puts raw indie energy front and center, with grunge, shoegaze haze and a post-punk edge running through the night.
Rū Kai is the new chapter for London guitarist Tal Janes. After years moving through different scenes, 2025 marked a reset: turning outward to nature, community and history while digging back into the grunge and post-punk instincts that shaped him. In that shift, he found his voice and started writing heavier, stripped-back songs that lean into immediacy rather than polish. Backed by drummer Jamie Houghton (Tom Misch, Alfa Mist) and bassist Daisy George (Naomi Scott, Tom Ford), he brings the project’s direct, urgent sound to the stage ahead of the debut EP Reverence, due in late 2026.
Sandhouse, the London duo of Anna and Caspar, blur decades without sounding like a retro act. Built on a shared band history since 2018, their songs thread ’60s psychedelia through ’90s alt-rock bite, then lift it all with modern electronic touches. Expect overdriven guitars, haunting vocals and atmosphere that hits hard while staying carefully shaped.
