On March 25, 2028, Tiken Jah Fakoly returns to the Zénith in Paris with this roots reggae that took shape at the end of the 1980s, blending French, Dioula, and English. On stage, his music retains the Jamaican backbone while letting in West African rhythms and a writing style that is very direct, rooted in politics, social issues and history.
From the path that led him from West Africa to Europe, we find tracks that marked his major milestones, from Mangercratie and Cours d’histoire to Françafrique or Coup de gueule, not forgetting more recent albums such as Le monde est chaud, Braquage de pouvoir or Acoustic. The idea is not nostalgia: rather a continuous thread, that of an artist who turns speech into songs crafted for the live stage, carried by groove and collective energy.
