Peter Hook & The Light announce a French tour in spring 2027, during which the band will perform Joy Division's two studio albums in their entirety: Unknown Pleasures and Closer.
Released in 1979, Unknown Pleasures was followed a year later by Closer, the recording of which ended shortly before Ian Curtis's death, before its posthumous release in 1980. Since then, these two albums have regularly ranked among the top spots of all-time album lists, compiled by critics and the public alike. They laid the foundations of an enduring legacy: an iconic visual identity whose cover art has inspired millions of T-shirts, a production helmed by Martin Hannett, and two albums that continue to influence a great number of bands over the last four decades.
