Peter Hook & The Light announce a French tour in spring 2027, during which the group will perform Joy Division's two studio albums, Unknown Pleasures and Closer, in their entirety. Released in 1979, Unknown Pleasures was followed a year later by Closer, whose recording concluded shortly before Ian Curtis's death, ahead of its posthumous release in 1980. Since then, these two albums have regularly topped critics’ and fans’ lists. They laid the foundations of an enduring legacy: a visual identity whose album covers have inspired millions of T-shirts, the production by Martin Hannett, and two albums that continue to influence many bands over the past four decades.
